A Flow Of Consciousness

Plenty has “flowed” since our last newsletter, not least the ever growing production of A Flow Of Consciousness.

So let’s dive straight in!

We are truly excited to have confirmed all our flights and production set up for the third and fourth parts of our film, starting in the Amazonian jungles of Rhondonia, Brazil.

As water condenses into its gaseous state, we follow it towards the “river in the sky” and flow into the life of an indigenous young warrior, Jubi Juma. Jubi is a courageous member of the Uru-eu-wau-wau tribe, who spends her days preparing cassava flour, taking care of the children and flying her drone during deadly forest surveillance against illegal loggers.

Jubi Juma sits tentatively awaiting the next raid.

You may already know that as well as bridging people, places and cultures together through our focus of worldly human story, our films have the power to spread awareness of social, environmental and other issues that affect us each day, and Jubi’s story is no different.

Every day, the Amazon faces the threat of illegal logging, a battle that impacts not only the indigenous communities but the entire global ecosystem. The river in the sky—a vital source of moisture for the earth—faces destruction, and with it, countless species and cultures.

Our films are even more unique in that they are timely co-creations with the universe, non-commercial endeavours, and therefore incredibly difficult to fund, despite how hard our team works behind the scenes on grants and raising.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for those of you who have been financially supportive of this production so far and ask you to please continue to support us, if you are able to do so and believe in what we do, by donating generously towards this next film shoot in the Amazon via or gofundme link where we are hoping to raise £2,500 by August in time for the shoot.

We will be sharing all our behind the scenes with our followers on our social media platforms so if you haven’t already subscribed to them please do so using the links in this email.

Because of your continued support, in the second part of A Flow Of Consciousness we were able to capture some incredible footage of water crystals forming in accordance to positive energy, words, thought and action based on the perspective that water picks up and stores vibration and frequency - and that you are literally what you believe!

This idea that the power of thought and belief is the key to our reality is a beautifully empowering one, and is shared throughout liquids journey in the second part of the film.

Silent Currents: (a story about human trafficking)

We have started the short animation ‘Silent Currents’, a project close to my heart, which tells the tale of a young boy who goes in search of work, only to find himself at sea, tricked into slavery on a fishing boat for four years.

The film is told utilising a real-time, highly sensitive interview by the boy’s caretaker; a rare glimpse into the dark world of the far East Asian fishing industry, ignorant consumers may never imagine.

Despite much interest by NGOs and other social organizations, we had not been offered any money to make this film, with emails stating they had no budget for these kind of realities - again a common issue experienced by many filmmakers that work hard to share authentic truths in the name of social justice or purist cinema vérité.

Of course, this only makes us more convicted to tell the story of this boy and after about six months of juggling self-made funds, with the generous offer by our animator to reduce his rate by 2/3rds, we were able to commence with the story board.

Travel With Thida

To assist in the massive task of fuelling the production and post-production of our films, I’ve finally began a side initiative “Travel With Thida” in which I open a small piece of my life to small groups of 8 who wishes to join me on one is my adventurous trips somewhere around the world.

And for those interested, more info will be coming in the next newsletter as to how you can join me on one of these awesome trips.
